THINGS to take note of
Those who were involve in the SEEE year 3 assembly please drop-by the club house to collect your LOA.
Practice Sessions during Holiday
Beginner Practice: Monday, Wednesday (12-2pm)
Intermediate Practice: Wednesday, Friday (2-5pm)
Practice will only be held during the 1st and 2nd week of the holiday in December hope everyone will turn for the practice session.
SPG Chalet 15 to 17 Dec(Mon to Wed)
Please keep these days free.
SPG Concert
As you guys know we have our own guitar concert next year at 9 May 2009.
Deadlines for the various songs to be played during the concert:
o Beginners:
1. If We Hold On Together (DONE)
2. Wish Upon a Star (9th Jan)
3. 手舞足蹈 (Happy dance…) (30th Jan)
4. Love Story (together with the intermediates) (15th March)
o Intermediates:
1. Yesterday Once More (9th Jan)
2. 13 Days in France (9th Jan)
3. Wonderful Tonight (15th March)
4. Pretty Woman (15th March)
5. Historiade de Amor (15th March)
6. My Way (15th March)
7. Besame Mucho (15th March)
8. Sway (9th Jan)
(Important)Please keep the following dates free
There will be 6 rehearsals carried out in the auditorium on the following dates:
20th April (Monday): The purpose is to check that everyone knows what they need to do.
24th April (Friday)
29th April (Wednesday): Technical run + rehearsal
30th April (Thursday): Technical run + full rehearsal
8th May (Friday): full dress rehearsal
9th May (Saturday): Actual day of the concert so the auditorium is booked for the whole day.

Hey Guitarists! Hope u all are having a great Sunday, here are a few things that i need to update you all
SP Guitarists' 0809 beginners are going to play on stage for the 1st time on 20 Nov, Thursday!
to fully prepare u all for the very first performance, we need all your co-operations to come for a pre-performance practice on 19 Nov, Wednesday, 330 pm at clubhouse. Please DO NOT BE LATE, we will only start when every one is present. (SP Guitarists move, practice, perform, enjoy and suffer together as one people. Hopefully we wont suffer..... D: the whole sitting position will be affected if u are late.)
on 20 Nov, the actual day, all of us will going going to the performance venue for a rehearsal, this is the check the sitting arrangement, Micing position, sound and lighting system. It's very important so we need every performer to be there. LOA will be provided so don't worry abt your attendance! so please gather at club house at 11am, then we will move out together. actual performance will be at 3.3opm, more details will be briefed on that day.

this month's outing will be on 21st Nov, Friday, practice is canceled as all of us wan a relaxing Friday. But remember the practice the song at home! as there's a rehearsal for charity concert at the following week!ALL MEMBERS are encouraged to come for Wednesday's practice regardless you will perform or not, this is to give support to our fellow guitarists!
I already booked a LT for us on that day, so please come and ENJOY!
For those who haven't paid, please do so asap to Alfiyan or Diyad, it's $5 for the pizza!
One more thing, most people voted for black base colour with silver wordings for our club jacket, so I'm going to place the order for sample, designs cant be changed once we ordered the sample. Price, size all we will settle them later after we confirmed our sample.

About... Competition
1. As mentioned by Alastair, there will be a competition (Alright, competition sounds 'competitive' but take it easy alright? xD). Like many other competitions, there will be some judging criteria. Although we have not finalized the weight of each component but here are the components we are looking for:
* Ability to perform the show smoothly
* Ability to engage the audience
* Identity/Creativity
2. With the beginners ready for performance and the concert dates that is drawing near, we think everyone should have a new Club T-shirt design! The final design will be selected through voting system. Ok, so let's set a deadline to be 10th December, a month from today. Make everyone wear your design!

Hello to all Guitarist!! This is my first time updating SPG's blog!!=)
Firstly, about the upcoming outing.
Date: 21st NOV 2008
Time: 5.30pm onwards
Venue: Club house
Activity: Pizzaian Movie Night!!!=) (cool name thought by Li Yi)
Amount Payable: maximum $5-$6.
Attendance is compulsory

If any of you have opinion or objects the movie selected, please feel free to approach any of the seniors.
Second, Pop band competition. It is time to put your skills to the test and at the same time form closer relationships with you fellow guitarist. Remember!! we are a family who live as one and play as one!!^^. The competition will be held on the 12th DEC 2008. Please do check out the avability of the clubhouse if you want to use it for your band practices.
Thirdly, on the 15th, 16th and 17th of DEC with is a school holiday(please keep these days free). its is the chalet that our sub commitee has planned. i truly hope that everyone of guitarist will turn up, and make this event unforgettabe^^
Last, we will he holding a Captain's ball league competition. the timing fot this is yet to be confirmed. we shall excel in all aspect of life.
